Ms. Andrews ~ Assistant Library Director
Ms. Andrews, the assistant library director at the Franklin Public Library, came to Kennedy school on 10/1. She shared information about the library and the wonderful resources that are available there. We are all excited to learn more about this wonderful part of our community. Many of us had or received library cards when we went on our field trip to the Library. We learned so much about the Ray sisters, Benjamin Franklin, and the history and architecture of the Franklin Library, the first lending library in the U.S. We know your children will have a lot to share!
Check out our "Spotlight On..." page to see an interview some of our students conducted with one of the librarians at the Franklin Public Library.

Mr. adams ~ Engineer in Residence
Today Mr. Adams came to JFK. He taught us about the engineering process.
We learned that engineers take a long time to come up with a finished product. Mr. Adams showed us two videos about the engineering
process, that you can see below.
Fourth graders will be practicing using the engineering process in the next few weeks. Our goals for
this project are:
We will be creating puff mobiles as a team. In a few weeks we will have the opportunity to race our puff mobiles against our class,
and then against the winners from each class.
